Location: Doddington Park, Lincoln
After finding the white-fronted geese a mile north of the Meerings. I called into the main reserve at Besthorpe. On viewing the lake from the viewing platform at the village end I found two red-headed smew hugging the sides of the lake and always a few hundred yards away. Still there at 15:45

One female Smew on Ferry lane pit Collingham this afternoon.
Also 10 Redshank on second pit opposite mons pool.
