An early morning walk around the patch in foggy conditions produced:-
1 Willow warbler, 1 Blackcap and 6 Chiffchaffs singing.
At least 7 Song Thrushes, 3 singing.
2 Kingfishers.

Best of all was a Tree Sparrow, the first I have recorded on the patch since 2012. I heard the bird call in bushes at the bottom of Pig lane but had quiet a wait before I actually saw it. I thought I had lost this, once regular, species from the patch. Fingers crossed there might be a pair.

The Tree Sparrow was seen again this afternoon, collecting nesting material. Fingers crossed.
