Mark Avery is continuing to press for a ban on driven grouse shooting via a petition to Parliament. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/125003

This is the third attempt and the number of signatures keeps growing. Extermination of hen harriers by criminals connected to grouse shoots is eliminating the English breeding population, reducing the number of birds wintering in Lincs and making it unlikely there will ever be enough birds to start breeding in Lincs again.

Please sign the petition and when you do or if you have already, reply to this message so we can show Lincs birders support hen harriers.

I strongly feel intensive management of uplands in the UK is a bad thing...

I quite agree. It would be nice to think that things will change, as Mark Avery's final chapter suggested.

Well done John, but the the petition last year timed out and this is a new one so everyone who signed last year needs to sign and share again.
