There were 57 Tree Sparrows in the dunes south of the old coastguard cottages. I saw most of them well and all of those were juveniles. There are also reasonable numbers of young Tree Sparrows and House Sparrows in my garden and the surrounding area, so at least some species have fared well despite the recent weather. Stock Doves on the lucerne field had increased to 78.
