Three hours at Huttoft Car Terrace this morning seawatching.

Leach's Storm Petrel - 1 north
Grey Phalarope - 1 north
Also seen:
Sooty Shearwater - more than 50 with some very close birds. But passage both north and south and counting difficult
Manx Shearwater - 4 at least
Bonxie - 10+
Pomarine Skua - 10+ all juvs
Arctic Skua - 7
Auks - Don't remember ever seeing so many. Hundreds from close in to very distant. Mostly Guillemots when ID possible but at least 7 Razorbills
GN Diver -1
RT Diver - 20+
Eider - 2
Common Scoter - a few small groups.
Little Gull - 2 juvs
Gannet - more than a thousand probably but did not attempt a count.

I had very similar counts to Eds from Mablethorpe dunes car park I can add 1 velvet scoter
but did not see the phalarope, ( 0650 to 0930 hrs ) , I counted 37 sooty shearwaters north but did
not count south bounds which were always further out GN diver fairly close in giving good views
as was 2 manx shears with the high tide at base of dunes.

shared a walk at Legbourne wood later with Pete Childs 1 party of 7 redwing over and a flock of c 40 either song thrush or redwing
also over but only brief views and birds not calling, strong northerly well into afternoon..

regards John

In contrast Freiston could only muster 1 pom, 1 arctic skua, 1 auk and a few hundred gannets. Only stayed an hour or so tagged onto end of Webs. 7300 Black-tailed godwits on the res was a good count. Returned in afternoon for yb warbler.

I forgot to mention my first seawatch Short-eared Owl of the autumn which came inshore from over the horizon.
Also twenty or so Sandwich Terns.
