I had a personal total of 17 Yellow-browed Warblers today!

Of these 14 were at Gib Point. By 3.30pm Kev Wilson and I were sat in his garden (complete with a backdrop of three calling YBWs) and calculated, taking duplication of records into consideration, that there were 22 at Gib today - easily beating last year's record count of ten! I also had another two birds at Seacroft. Finally, returning back home to Huttoft this afternoon, the day was rounded off nicely by a very vocal and showy YBW in my garden (over a mile inland) along with three newly arrived Goldcrests and a Chiffchaff.

Also at Gib today were 3 Long-tailed Skuas, 30 Sooty Shearwaters, 2 Lapland Buntings, 20 Brambling, 60+ Redwing, 4 Ring Ouzels, 40 Goldcrests and a Northern Wheatear.

...make that 18 YBWs for the day - two birds were just having an altercation in the willow at the bottom of my garden. One is now calling from the sycamores of Huttoft Primary School and the other is showing in St Margaret's churchyard opposite the school.
