At least 5 more Yellow-browed Warblers were present in addition to the bird trapped and ringed. Other grounded migrants at the south end included 4 Chiffchaffs, one Blackcap, 2 Reed Warblers, 25 Goldcrests, 15 Blackbirds, one Ring Ouzel, 3 Song Thrushes, 2 Mistle Thrushes, 3 Redwings, 15 Robins, one Common Redstart, one Whinchat, 4 Siskins, one Brambling and 2 Grey Wagtails. There were significant increases of some of the commoner species, too, in particular 180 Reed Buntings, 25 Yellowhammers, 25 Wrens and 100 Dunnocks. Also of note were 30 Pink-footed Geese, 11 Greylags, 160 Canada Geese, 2 Brent Geese, 2 Red-throated Divers, 3 Sandwich Terns, one Merlin, 5 Grey Partridges and a Corn Bunting.
