13 moths of 7 species:
Early grey 2
Dotted border 1
Hebrew character 2
Clouded drab 2
Common quaker 1
Brown house moth 4
Agonopterix sp (probably heracliana). 1

6th May
15 moths of 7 species including ruby tiger, shuttle-shaped dart and powdered quaker.

As part of the National Moth Night (long) weekend managed to set-up MV bulb over Skinner trap in garden. Had about 120 moths of 33 species including:
Diamond-back 32
Plain Golden Y 1
Pale Tussock 1
Double square-spot 1
Large nutmeg 2
Common marbled carpet 1
Peppered moth 1
Silver Y 1
Brimstone 3
Marbled Orchard tortrix 1
Plus by-catch including cockchafer and speckled bush-cricket.

8th July
Hi there
Had MV bulb out in garden last night with good numbers caught.
Over 250 moths of 64 species including elephant hawk 5, scarce footman 5, buff-tip 1, dwarf cream wave 1, burnished brass 5, silver y 1, plain golden y 2, clay 1, marbled beauty 1, beautiful hook-tip 1, dot moth 1, common emerald 1, sandy carpet 1, green pug 3 (all looking very faded now) and larch pug 1 (a new species for me).
Most numerous macros were riband wave, mottled rustic, dark arches and marbled minor agg.

A cooler night here (down to 10oC) produced about 75 moths of 30 species (using actinic lamp) including privet hawk, elephant hawk, barred yellow, dwarf cream wave, coronet, foxglove pug and flame carpet.

13th September
Actinic lamp in garden overnight produced about 128 moths of 19 species including frosted orange, lunar underwing, silver Y, burnished brass, angle shades and rosy rustic. Large yellow underwings numbered 50.
By-catch included masses of lesser water boatmen plus the burying beetle Nicrophorus humator and also harlequin ladybird.

Had my actinic lamp out in garden last night (down to 7 degrees but dry) and produced 35 moths of 13 species including both grey pine carpet and spruce carpet for comparison plus my first beaded chestnut of the autumn, plus angle shades and an early November moth agg. Large yellow underwings virtually all gone here now unless they weren't flying due to low temps?

By-catch included a red admiral! Quite a few in garden at the moment on the buddleias.

Actinic lamp overnight in windy but mild conditions produced about 37 moths of 13 species (not a single micro this time) including silver Y, green-brindled crescent, Blair's shoulder-knot and grey pine carpet.

Night of 4th Oct 2016

Actinic in garden last night produced 19 moths of 11 species including black rustic, green brindled crescent, blood-vein, angle shades and a brown-spot pinion. The last species would seem to be new for me despite being relatively common. Probably just over-looked them in the past as a beaded chestnut or similar.
