Around 1,000 Brent Geese were on the shore between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall, on the north-west corner of the realignment area and on the nearby fields. Numbers were difficult to ascertain as flocks were constantly flying about in all directions. Other birds of note included a pale-bellied Brent Goose, 2 Pink-footed Geese, 130 Teal, 3 Long-tailed Ducks, one Kingfisher, 10 Rock Pipits, 105 Goldfinches and 180 Twite. Four Red-legged Partridges and 2 Corn Buntings represented my first records of both species since October.
