This kind of reply makes CR reading most worthwhile!
Dear Nige,
As a co-manager of
www.geese.org I noticed your observations of European White-fronted Goose BH1 black.
As only a small number (max. about 2.000) of European WfG winter in Great-Britain, it’s a very nice observation of the neckbanded goose. In a nice area too as I learned from
http://gibraltarpointbirdobservatory.blogspot.nl/?m=1In the Blog I found two pictures of a small flock of WfG, 17 December 2016 by photographer Stuart Ainsworth. I will write a small item in my regular goose news “Nieuws van de velden’ (Dutch language) about your observations of WfG BH1 black. Did you take a picture of BH1, foraging or resting near Skegness? That would be very nice. Is it ok to use your observations in my next ‘goose news’.
To give you an inpression of my ‘Nieuws van de velden’, I attached the most recent issue.
Best regards,
Jan Kramer
