8 hours on patch today, recorded 61 species all BirdTracked.
Highlights were:-
2 Shelduck
8 Gadwall
4 Shoveler
6 Wigeon
29 Teal, displaying
12 Pochard
13 Tufted Duck
27 Goosanders, came in to roost late afternoon
1 Little Grebe, on Catchwater drain
1 Little Egret
1 female Marsh Harrier
2 Sparrowhawks, trying for Starling supper
1 Water Rail
1 Kingfisher
2 Green Woodpecker
2 Great Spotted Woodpecker
1 Merlin, also trying for Starling supper (only my 2nd patch record)
c35 Skylarks, in one flock
1 Grey Wagtail
Pair of Stonechat
c120 Fieldfare
c30 Redwing
c15000 Starlings in fantastic murmuration, started about 16:25 & finally went down into reeds at 17:10
2 Tree Sparrows
1 Siskin
