The GGS is reported to have returned to it's site by the Green Bridge having been flushed on Wednesday afternoon by photographers entering the field to try to get close up photos. These were not local birders/photographers.However if you are up there or see anybody watching please ask them to keep to the edge of the field. Not just to avoid disturbing the Shrike but there are also several Short-eared Owls roosting and hunting the scrub field. There are at least 5 Stonechats on that ground, one pair of which seems to be nest building. Also, we do not want to antagonise the farmer as if he continues to leave this as scrub it could be a very productive patch for future years.
Thanks.
