Belated report from a works networking trip aboard the Boston Belle along the Haven, past Cut End for c.1 mile, up Welland to just short of Fosdyke Bridge and back to Boston. Of note:
Barnacle Goose - 2 with Canada Geese Slippey Gowt then later at Welland Mouth
Dark bellied Brent - 2
Great crested Grebe - 2 off Cut End
Manx Shearwater - 1 close north past boat about 1 mile off cut end
Gannet - 8
Little Egret - min 10
Marsh Harrier - 1 Fosdyke area
Peregrine - 1 showing v well perched and in flight Welland Mouth
Common Sandpiper - 7 (Haven and Welland)
Greenshank - 1 Welland
Ruff - c.10 Haven
Sandwich Tern - 2
Common Tern - 7
Guillemot - 1 on Haven c.0.5 mile inland from cut end
Kingfisher - 1 Grand Sluice Boston
