In reference to the metal-ringed Black-headed Gull at Cleethorpes first mentioned on the LBC forum by Peter Crick on 18/11/2016 please find attached two photos of a ring taken at Buck Beck car park on 19/12/2016.

It's very probably the same bird as they appear to show a partial code of A36.0 and well as the letters 'mus' and 'thua' (Lithuania presumably, as suggested by John Birkett). A bit of research suggests the code may be HA36.0??, so still two numbers to go before we can nail this one.

Also c30 Snow Buntings along the dunes/marsh.

Excellent pics of the ring, Chris. Thanks for those.
It looks like the same bird as I have been following. Your great pics back up the info so far.
Just need another angle on it to get the missing numbers.

Another ringed BH Gull was at this location late on Friday 16th Dec. The ring was very dark/discoloured, maybe suggesting an older bird. Only had bins with me, and in fading light no hope of ID.

Thanks for the update, Chris

Thanks for the posting, Andrew.

It looks like the same bird is back at the Buck Beck car park in Cleethorpes.

This afternoon, I was able to make out HA 36

Underneath, Lith was also discernible.
