Butterflies seen in my garden today
on buddleia 7 red admirals, painted lady, comma, small tortoiseshells speckled wood and a tattered brown argus.
also a hummingbird hawk moth. Colin Pumfrett.

butterflies are now slowly diminishing from my garden. Today there was 16 commas on the shrubs and 9 red admirals on the buddleias along with 2 small tortoiseshells and a speckled wood.
also 3 hummingbird hawk moths visited the buddleias.

Colin,
It sounds like a pretty good diminution.
All I had in the garden in Bracebridge Heath today were:
2 Red Admirals
3 Commas
3 Small Tortoiseshells
1 Large White.
The last Speckled Wood I had was on 13 Sep and the last Hummingbird
Hawkmoth was on 16 Sep.

I saw a coupe of speckled wood today Freddie, along with Comma, Red Admiral, Small Tortishell and large White :)
