Been on a course in Esher (between Heathrow and Gatwick) all week. Counted a flock of 32 Ringed Necked Parakeet on Wednesday. There was a far larger flock on Thursday which I noticed flying by the window while I was having a pint prior to my evening meal. A really spectacular sight and noisy with it!

These birds were evident all week but the area is renowned for them

I am ashamed to say that in several visits to Esher I have never visited the roost at the rugby club. I did once see it on a Bill Oddie bird watching programme. A spectacular sight

Nobody believes you when you tell them what these bright green and noisy birds are

Eric
You are right about having to be be very rich to live in this area. Its the haunt of Chelsea footballers nowadays I believe. Property is exceedingly expensive and the price they charge for beer is just criminal

Talking of alcohol there is a bar in the town centre that has become somewhat notorious recently for the indiscretions of a well known tv performer. He will certainly not be rich once his soon to be ex wife has finished with him
